We’re scaling our team and are looking for a Solution Specialist to support the strategic development of the incredible platforms we build for our clients.
Reporting to the Technical Partner, this position will be a “business & process design mind” for our digital workplace practice. You’ll be responsible for working closely with clients to determine the best course of action for creating and transforming their digital workplaces using Microsoft 365 solution sets. You will support the projects end to end, providing researched strategy guidance, aligning the project with business requirements, scope and budget, implementing solutions, training, and supporting end users.
What we need you to do:
In the course of your work, you’ll use different skills to advance your projects:
- Service Design & Strategy:
- Conduct user interviews towards the goal of innovative and usable solutions;
- Design facilitation workshops with clients;
- Create service designs with project stakeholders that detail project requirements and deliverables; and
- Define project documentation including design, build and operations guides, as well as the management processes and procedures.
- Business Analysis:
- Ensure solutions adequately address business requirements and align with existing or proposed business processes;
- Create stakeholder and delivery team alignment through well executed requirements that maintain disciplined project scope; and
- Develop and present process roadmaps.
- Implementation:
- Work as a subject matter expert to deliver projects from initiation through to successful implementation;
- Introduce and onboard clients to partner platforms, such as Orchestry, to facilitate standard practice and application management for Microsoft 365;
- Oversee the content migration into SharePoint sites with migration tools or manual procedures;
- Perform testing of SharePoint and Teams sites or components throughout set up and migration;
- Develop user guides and training material for various aspects of the SharePoint and Teams administration; and
- Provide training and workshops for clients and stakeholders.
- Support:
- Manage incoming support requests related to SharePoint and Teams administration;
- Provide technical support for SharePoint users; and
- Delegate work to development teams where needed.
- Additional Skills:
- Assist in the sales and development roles from a technical perspective, through demos, presentations, and workshops; and
- Keep abreast of relevant industry certifications and accreditations as aligned with key practices and technology partners.
What do you bring to Punchcard?
- Demonstrate specific knowledge of the function and makeup of Microsoft SharePoint and Teams
- Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field required
- A minimum of 3-5 years’ experience working as a subject matter expert in the Microsoft Technology stack
- Microsoft Certifications will be beneficial e.g. Microsoft 365 Certified: Teamwork Administrator Associate
- Experience in Microsoft Power BI, Tableau or similar products is an asset
- Experience using migration tools as well as custom scripts to migrate and populate content into SharePoint
- Experience with SharePoint migration and governance platforms, like AvePoint or Orchestry, is a plus
- Strong interpersonal skills to work collaboratively with a wide range of clients, both internal and external, from technical to non-technical, including presentation skills and technical documentation
- Strong organizational skills with a proven ability to successfully manage multiple responsibilities
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to follow-through
