Punchcard is a digital transformation studio with teams, partners, and clients across Canada. At its core, digital transformation uses technology to create new or improve existing business processes and customer experiences. Our digital advisory and development services enable organizations to:

  • Improve customer experiences across platforms,
  • Increase productivity and efficiency of internal teams,
  • Make better data-driven business decisions, and
  • Increase overall competitiveness.

At Punchcard, we’re in the process of inventing a new type of company, and we need great people to come along this journey with us. Our clients come to us to help them solve interesting challenges using technology.

This position requires a supportive team player with the ability to learn new skills, work with a broad group of internal and external stakeholders, and excel within a fast-paced, dynamic, and complex environment.

Reporting to the Head of Growth & RevOps, this position will seek out new business opportunities by contacting and developing relationships with potential customers. To be successful in this role, you should have demonstrated experience successfully generating your own leads through targeted outbound prospecting (cold calling, email outreach, networking events, social selling) and meeting sales quotas.

You will use your communication skills to cultivate strong relationships with customers, from first contact until you close the deal. You will also ensure proper after-sales service and handoff to the delivery team. If you are motivated and results-driven, and enjoy working in a team environment, we’d like to meet you.

Ultimately, you will boost sales and contribute to our long-term business growth.

Expectations of this Role

Lead Generation & Prospecting:

  • Proactively identify and generate new business opportunities through outbound sales activities (calls, emails, LinkedIn outreach, networking).
  • Conduct targeted research on potential clients within key industries (Financial Services, Retail, Healthcare, Mid-Market IT).
  • Develop and maintain a robust pipeline of qualified opportunities.

Client Engagement & Relationship Building:

  • Clearly communicate Punchcard’s value proposition and service offerings (Digital Workplace & Custom App Development).
  • Conduct initial discovery calls to qualify opportunities and understand client business needs.
  • Build trust and rapport with prospects and establish long-term relationships.

Sales Process Management:

  • Manage the full sales cycle, from initial contact to closing and handover to the delivery team.
  • Prepare and deliver compelling presentations, proposals, and sales pitches.
  • Negotiate pricing, contracts, and terms while ensuring profitability and alignment with Punchcard’s objectives.

CRM & Reporting:

  • Maintain accurate and updated records of all prospect interactions in CRM (Apollo/HubSpot).
  • Track and report regularly on pipeline metrics, lead conversion rates, and overall sales performance.
  • Participate in weekly pipeline review meetings and provide insights on market trends, objections, and opportunities.

Collaboration & Teamwork:

  • Work closely with marketing, delivery teams, and leadership to ensure alignment in messaging, strategy, and client expectations.
  • Provide client feedback to marketing and delivery teams to refine service offerings and client experiences.

What you will bring to Punchcard

  • 5+ years sales or business development experience
  • Post-secondary education in Digital Media and IT, Marketing, Business Communications or relevant field preferred
  • Hands-on experience with multiple sales techniques including consultative selling
  • Track record of consistently achieving or exceeding sales quotas
  • Familiarity with Microsoft suite of products (365, Teams, SharePoint, Power Platform)
  • Understanding of sales performance metrics and CRM systems
  • Self-motivated, proactive, highly organized with strong time management skills
  • Ability to deliver clear, persuasive, engaging presentations
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and negotiation
  • High level of initiative, motivation, and enthusiasm

What else can you expect at Punchcard?

  • Engaging and challenging projects; if you want to do the same thing over and over again, Punchcard isn’t for you. If you like puzzles and solving problems, then we are for you.
  • Employee group benefits (including disability and life insurance, dental, and extended health).
  • Flexible hours in a digital and remote-first workplace dedicated to creativity.
  • A highly collaborative work environment, with a group of people who love what they do.
  • An opportunity to work with and learn from passionate and highly skilled team members who work together to ensure everyone succeeds.
  • A respectful, outcome-oriented workplace with a second-to-none culture.

We always look for people who are comfortable wearing different hats, so don’t worry if you don’t think you’re a perfect fit for the role – we’re still interested in hearing from you.

At Punchcard, we are an equal opportunity employer, and we do not discriminate on the basis of race, religion, color, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, age, non-disqualifying physical or mental disability, national origin, veteran status or any other basis covered by appropriate law. All employment is decided on the basis of qualifications, merit, and business need.
